School Council Financial Update - 2024-2025

As we wrap our 2024/2025 School Council year and prepare for the 2025/2026 year, our Executive Council would like to provide a brief financial update to our JWB community. 

On behalf of the School Council, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donations and the time you have dedicated to supporting our school community. Thanks to your incredible efforts, we are excited to share that we made a total of $34 472.62 this year! 

Money raised this year totaled: $ 34, 472.62

a. Fortinos Fuel for Kids - $ 1, 458.00

b. Market place $ 2, 280.50

c. Dance-a-thon $ 12, 461.39

d. Popcorn Day $ 6, 090.29

e. Sub Days $ 8, 936.00

f. Fun Fair $ 3, 246.44

Your donations and support helped run many of our key events, such as the Winter Fundraiser, Dance-a-thon, Fun Fair, Sub Days, Popcorn Days, Movie Night, and staff appreciation events, to name a few. These events wouldn’t have been possible without your involvement, and they created unforgettable experiences for our students and staff while raising critical funds.

With the funds raised, we were able to purchase gym equipment, support our Grade 8 graduation, provide Kindie welcome packages, continue our Kindergarten Renewal, support Equity Resources and Learning at JWB, Mathematics resources, Sensory Equipment and contribute to our "Angel Fund," which ensures that students who need extra help have access to lunches and snacks. 

Your contributions have made a lasting impact on the school, helping to foster a more enriching and supportive environment for all.

We are deeply grateful for your commitment to making JWB a wonderful place for our children. Whether you contributed your time, resources, or both, your support makes all the difference. We look forward to continuing this partnership in the future and creating even more opportunities for our students to succeed.
